Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino (1483 – 1520), but commonly referred to as Raphael, was an Italian painter and architect. Together with Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, he is regarded as one of the “Three greatest masters of the Renaissance period”. The characters and scenes in his paintings are significantly elegant and delicate. Therefore, his artworks are full of poetry and rhyme.
