The Artist Bio:

Jura Asran, a Uzbek painter, studied and graduated from the Republican Art College named after P.P. Benkov, and the Theatre and Art Institute named after A.N. Ostrovsky, Faculty of Painting. His works reflect the harmony between human emotion, nature, and national heritage. Through color, light, and composition, the artist strives to express love for the homeland, historical memory, and the modern spirit of Uzbekistan. Each artwork represents a dialogue between tradition and creativity, a celebration of beauty, sincerity, and national identity.

The painter has been actively participating in national and international exhibitions since 1985. His artworks and artistic activities have been widely featured in newspapers, magazines, on the radio, and on national television. Also, received awards and honors, such as:

  • Laureate of the Ahmad al-Farg'oni and Imam al-Bukhari International Awards in 1998
  • Awarded a Diploma and Medal by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2005.
  • Winner of the “The Greatest and Dearest” National Art Contest in 2005

As an art educator, he enjoys nurturing artistic talents:

  • Began teaching at the Design College under the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan in 2005
  • A documentary film about my creative work was produced by the Uzbekistan National Television in 2006
  • Art instructor at the College for People with Disabilities, Tashkent City, from 2012 to 2014
  • Art teacher at the Yangiyul District School of Fine Arts No. 22, from 2014 to 2016
