The Artist Bio:
David Beltrán, who was raised in Brooklyn, New York, is a self-taught digital artist and writer from Pennsylvania, USA. His works have been displayed at the Superlative Gallery in Bali, the UN-sponsored Blue Planet Grassroots Global Art Event, and the NFT.NYC 2024, 2025, and 2026, the AWITA New York Studio, and the events hosted by Archiv3 magazine. He has been published in Archiv3 magazine and by Odyssey Global Media as part of the Blue Planet exhibition. It is worth mentioning that he also had a piece, fortunately sent to the moon as part of the Lifeship payload carried by the SpaceX Falcon-9 lunar lander.
David’s art explores the connection between our spiritual essence, subconscious, and the machine, creating reality-bending illustrations through deep knowledge of machine learning and digital art mediums. The artist's work bridges across a variety of subject matter, including cosmic surrealism, portraiture, abstracts, and illustration, sometimes fusing all three together.
His hand-drawn works involve manipulating digital photographs and creating sacred geometry, while his exploration of AI/machine learning iterates with a flow and an understanding of how each model is a shade of paint on a large palette, and each with its own unique view of how the world looks. David Beltrán exploits the machine’s lack of understanding of reality to iterate, layer by layer, sometimes over the course of years, an illusion that will ultimately yield the outcome, especially as technology evolves.
