The Artist Bio:

Mosaz Zijun Zhao is a New York-based illustration artist who graduated with a BFA from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City, which was ranked as the #1 illustration school in the U.S. for 2025. Her works have been exhibited internationally, including at the National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, Palazzo Bembo in Venice, CICA Museum in South Korea, and Fukuoka Asian Art Museum in Japan. Also, recognized with awards such as the International Prize Leonardo da Vinci and Premio Firenze XLI Edizione, her work has also been featured in Art Maze Mag, BOOOOOOOM, The Woven Tale Press, and AI-Tiba9 Art Magazine, among others.

Mosaz's art explores the collision and fusion between traditional culture and the personal spiritual world through delicate lines, dramatic colors, and symbolic imagery, showcasing the flow and power of memory, emotion, and consciousness. She explores the relationship and essence between life and death in Asian culture.

Starting with extremely complex lines and simple, pure perspectives, she weaves a multitude of personal emotions and interpretive elements into her work. These form small visual units that, while thematically coherent, reflect the microscopic and holistic nature of her mind—each composed of solid lines yet carrying flowing emotions. The result is an expressive language marked by sharp internal conflicts that still flow like water. This enables her viewers to reflect, resonate, and savor unique inspirations.
