FAQ

There are not any commissions after selling.

No. Because they have already been current members of Professional Artist (GOLD). The new requirement for letters of recommendation will apply to new applicants (or re-applicants after leaving WAA). As long as the existing members remain the members of the Professional Artist of WAA, then:

1. They do not need anyone else to write letters of recommendation for them at WAA.
2. On the contrary, they are eligible to write letters of recommendation for new WAA applicants if they want.

Of course, new WAA applicants can also ask their country (or other places) internationally renowned (world-famous) artists recognized by WAA to write letters of recommendation for them.

No. Building a Member’s Own-Name Gallery is not a requirement by the WAA. Therefore, it is not all WAA members build and have their galleries. However, please be aware: If without building and having a gallery, a member will not be eligible to participate in the WAA Annual International Art Competition.

In general, the purposes of joining the membership may vary from person to person. Some may need to exhibit their works on a special global stage and let the world know them; some may wish to be recognized by an international professional organization; and some may want to realize their lofty artistic dreams, etc. …

All our competitions are FREE for our members if available*.
*See “The WAA Annual International Art Competition” section of the Terms of Service for details.

The WAA is a lower fee and higher unique elements association. The whole annual fee may be only a few hours or a day’s lowest minimum wage (in most developed countries in the world). Its primary mission is to provide a global level platform for communicating, promoting, and serving artists around the world. Therefore, our fee is probably an affordable expense for most people who really love art. This concession fee is just a serious commitment.

Although almost all prices worldwide are rising, the WAA still maintains the original application fees and continues to temporarily waive membership fees for the development of the world’s art.

Starting in 2026, except for the basic requirements to submit three own representative artworks, etc., each applicant for Professional Artist (GOLD) must also submit a letter of recommendation from a WAA Professional Artist (GOLD) level member or an internationally renowned (world-famous) artist from the applicant’s country (or other places). Specific details of the WAA acceptable internationally renowned (world-famous) artists will be announced separately.

No, the WAA does not request and pay our members to write recommendation letters for applicants. Therefore, it depends on the relationship between our members and the applicants. (If there are any fees, it should be at the applicant’s own expense.)

By the way, as a rule, each current Professional Artist (Gold) level member undergoes an annual qualification evaluation each year. So, the letters of recommendation from former WAA members are not acceptable.

Thus, it is up to the member to decide whether to write a letter of recommendation or not, whether to charge a fee or for free…

The WAA will review and evaluate an applicant’s application in about five business days after receiving three of his/her own artworks.

You may follow the steps below if you’re age 18 or older:

  • Preparing your three representative artworks
  • Reading and agreeing with the Terms and Policy
  • Registering for the WAA membership and submitting your works

Due to the U.S. Government restrictions, the WAA is unable to accept any level memberships and art competition entries from Syria, Iran, North Korea, or Crimea.
